START YOUR ROUND IN A POSITIVE WAY - PRE ROUND WARM-UP

Try this 45 minute pre round warm-up before you play your next round. For your next five rounds experiment with adding, removing and adjusting elements to find out which pre round warm-up works best for you.

5 minutes - Lag putting around the practice putting green

- One ball

- Use your full pre-shot routine (Make it real)

- Vary distance (6, 8 and 10 metres)

- Uphill, downhill and sidehill

5 Minutes - Holing out

- One ball

- Use your full pre-shot routine (Make it real)

- Vary distance (1 and 2 metres)

- Uphill, downhill and sidehill

5 Minutes - Shortgame shots (Chipping, pitching and bunker play)

- One ball

- Use your full pre-shot routine (Make it real)

- Vary distance

- High and low shots

5 Minutes - Freeing up you body

- 10-15 Relaxed easy practice swing

- 5-10 easy free swinging wedge shots

15 Minutes - Full shots

- 5 short irons (Vary your target - distance & direction)

- 10 Mid irons (Vary your target - distance & shot shape)

- Use your full pre-shot routine (Make it real)

- Finish your warm-up with five rehearsals of the shot you intend to play off the first tee

Order

It is always best not to finish your pre round warm-up with your putting and chipping. Putting and chipping can cause your muscles to tighten up, which is exactly what you don't want when you step on the first tee.
